NVWL

Design by subtraction

the same rule applies below.

NVWL designs small, considered software — built mobile-first, stripped of anything that isn't load-bearing. The studio's name follows its own rule. It just never had a word to begin with.

DPRT — our first release →

Studio

We build a small number of tools, well. Each one starts as a clear problem, gets a name, and keeps only what earns its place on screen.

Small by design

One product, one job. No feature creep, no bolted-on settings screens.

Built for the pocket

Designed mobile-first as web apps, then wrapped for iOS and Android — never the other way around.

Named on purpose

Black backgrounds, square corners, one accent color. The restraint is the identity.

Work

DPRT In development

Depart

A travel itinerary app organized around the moment you leave, not the moment you arrive. Dark, minimal, built for the trip itself — NVWL's first release.

Where it departs from typical itinerary apps

Timezone-native

Most itinerary apps assume one timezone for the whole trip. DPRT detects each event's timezone from its coordinates and shows local time everywhere — Chicago to Tokyo, layover included.

Share, no account

A trip link opens and renders instantly for anyone. No signup, no app download — an itinerary built to be sent, not just viewed.

Function over photos

No stock photography, no gradients. Each of the 14 event types carries its own accent color on the timeline — a system built for scanning a busy day at a glance, not for decoration.
